Saturn Interfaces Can't Be Powered

Saturn Interfaces (I & II) are USB-powered and require a minimum of 5V DC at 500mA to function properly. In theory, most USB ports on modern computers (when we say modern, we mean computers that were manufactured within the last decade) should be capable of supplying the necessary power to your Saturn Interfaces.

However, if there are issues with either the USB port on your computer or the provided USB cable, the signal LEDs on the Saturn Interfaces will flash in red, and the knob (the LED volume control) will not illuminate.

Here are some quick steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Try connecting Saturn Interfaces to a different USB port on your computer.
  2. Try replacing the current USB cable with another USB cable that has been tested and confirmed to be working.
  3. Try connecting the Saturn Interfaces directly to your computer’s USB port. Avoid using a USB hub unless you can confirm that the power current provided by the external USB hub is solid and sufficient.
