1. Test with low volume setting on both the CPA series and your audio input source.  

2. Test the speaker with different audio sources to determine if the distortion is consistent across all sources.

3. Ensure the audio files being played are not corrupted or of low quality.

4. Check the speaker grille and drivers for physical damage or obstructions that could be causing distortion.

5. Clean the speaker's components and grille to remove any dust or debris.
